Remembering the Man: Michael Jackson

Well, I was an 80s kid, so Michael Jackson was the MAN - yeah!!! Who can forget Billy Jean, Thriller and so many other wonderful hits? To me, Michael Jackson had a kind, loving spirit and passion for his music craft - as well as the intelligence and creativity to back it up! I don't know about you, but hearing of his death was so shocking to me. "Enrika, anyone can die," you say? Yes, I know. But, Michael's death is so unreal, so unbelievable...Michael had so much energy that, perhaps, we thought that energy would never die. But it did. Therefore, we must remember the goodness that Michael shared with the world. Michael's songs were infused with love, joy, support, encouragement, and fun. They touched the depths of our souls and evoked strong emotions and feelings for those from all walks of life. Michael's songs can teach us all how to enhance our social lives.
1. Rock with You - Well, do I need to explain? When someone likes you, he or she will want to "Rock with You all night"...not just for a part of the night...
2. Billy Jean - Be careful in your relationships "because the lie becomes the truth...If Billy Jean (or Joe or Janice) is not the one - be truthful!
3. She's Out of My Life - Let's face it. When someone walks out of your life, sometimes "You don't know whether to live or die...it hurts like a knife." But God will see you through!
4. You Are Not Alone - I love this song! Remember this whenever you are going through challenging times: "You are not alone - I am here with you..."
5. Man in the Mirror - This song reminds us that we should always "look" at ourselves and make any necessary changes that we need to make to be better."
6. ABC - Yes, we should keep things simple in life and relationships. We need to remember that life can be as easy as "ABC..."
